Nutrition
We strive to provide a healthy, balanced diet for each child, partnering with Seffner Lunch Program to offer breakfast, lunch, and two snacks every day. Upon entering our toddler classroom, children receive fresh, healthy meals, snacks, and milk at no additional cost. Our meal program accommodates vegetarian meals and a wide range of dietary restrictions, ensuring all meals are nut and pork-free, served with fresh fruits, and accompanied by crisp, local vegetables.
Communication
We understand the importance of communication to keep parents engaged, informed, and connected to their child’s progress and daily routine. We develop meaningful partnerships with families by making them feel comfortable and respected in our program. We involve families in creating plans for their children, share valuable information about their development and progress, and maintain open communication. Our open-door policy ensures that parents are always welcome to ask questions and provide feedback.
Health & Safety
All of our staff members receive CPR and first aid training. Each classroom is equipped with an emergency First Aid kit containing emergency action plans, rescue inhalers, and EpiPens as needed. Our nurse consultant provides training on proper diapering, sanitary hand washing practices, and the correct use of emergency EpiPens and inhalers. Additionally, our staff nurse offers support regarding health topics, safety issues, and medical concerns.
Physical Fitness
At Seffner Child Care Center, we believe that children learn by doing and moving. We provide ample space for kids to exercise and play, with a state-of-the-art, fenced outdoor playground featuring sturdy, clean equipment and soft landing spaces. Young children enjoy daily neighborhood walks in secure strollers, and newborns are safely carried in Bjorn carriers during outdoor trips.
Security
Our facilities are safe and secure, utilizing the ProCare keyless entry system to limit building access to authorized staff members and families only. Individual family codes allow parents unannounced entrance while requiring direct employee assistance for guests and visitors. All major areas of the building, including entrances, classrooms, hallways, and playgrounds, are equipped with administrator-monitored security systems.
